Loss has been a part of my life from when I was quite small. Saying goodbye to a friend at the age of 12 was not the beginning but it was a pivotal point in my life in deciding death isn’t the end; grief is only the amount of love not given in a lifetime to those we’ve lost. I believe we are surrounded by the spirits of our loved ones; they offer guidance and love in a different way. The monochromatic atmosphere in this painting depicts mood and stirs inner emotions regarding our own spirit’s journey.
